Las Patronas Beneficiary Luncheon

Las Patronas presented a beneficiary luncheon at La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club to announce the 17 nonprofits that received funds from the organization’s Fall Minor Beneficiary grant cycle. These fall minor grants were funded by proceeds from the August 2012 Passeggiata! Jewel Ball. Las Patronas also announced ten new major beneficiaries selected for the 2013 Jewel Ball. These ten nonprofits will receive grants greater than $20,000 from funds raised at the 67th Annual Jewel Ball, Lucky 13, to be held on August 3, 2013.

“We are grateful to be able to support these organizations during this season of giving, and to continue our tradition of enhancing the quality of life in our community,” says Las Patronas President Pat Marsch.

“We are also very excited to have chosen the major beneficiaries who will be our partners for next year’s Ball,” she said.  “Our entire membership participates in the grant selection process, which is four months long and involves site visits to every qualified applicant.  We are inspired throughout the year by the important work being done by these wonderful nonprofits.”

The nonprofits selected were chosen from more than one hundred applicants who participated in the philanthropy’s months-long grant review and selection process.
