The Sandisk Sansa slotRadio is a nice alternative to the iPod/iTunes learning curve, since all it requires is that you pop in the 1,000-song music cards that accompany the player. Additional cards can be purchased for around $40. The music on each card is pre-selected from today’s Billboard charts, and includes everything from hip hop to country. There may be a song or two you wouldn’t have wanted, but big stars like Keith Urban and U2 keep it familiar, and when you do the math and realize iTunes charges $1 per song – this is quite the deal. There is also the option to set it to an FM radio station of your choice. The pocket-sized slotRadio features a 1.5-inch OLED screen and ear buds. $99. (www.sansa.com) RYAN THOMAS
