The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) is turning 75, and the community is invited to celebrate this milestone at Community Day at MCASD La Jolla. Enjoy free admission and architectural tours from 11am-5pm; attend the free MCASD at 75 lecture at 11am; get creative with art-making activities from 11am-3pm; and see the La Jolla location’s expansion model revealed to the public for the first time. Take an audio tour of the seaside sculpture garden and view the exhibition The Uses of Photography: Art, Politics, and the Reinvention of a Medium, which focuses on a community of artists that formed around the UCSD visual arts department in the late 1960s and early 1980s. mcasd.org
