San Diego Aviators and Mylan World Team Tennis return to Omni La Costa — and the tournament’s signature multi-colored court. WTT matches showcase world-class tennis in a fun, party-like atmosphere, complete with on-court video screens and a DJ. This season, former Top 5 ATP tour player James Blake brings his star power to the team, along with new ladies’ standout Shelby Rogers, following her exhilarating showing at the 2016 French Open. Says Blake, a recent San Diego transplant, “When I was playing on tour, I wished I could play from home, and now I get the chance to, so it’s a lot of fun and hopefully the crowds will come out and enjoy it.”
On Monday, August 8, the Aviators give back with “Christmas in August,” encouraging everyone in attendance to donate a gift card of any denomination for Voices For Children, to celebrate their final home match.
