For more than 35 years, St. Germaine Children’s Charity has paved the way for a safer world for young children and vulnerable youth. In 2018, the nonprofit raised $125,000, bringing the total to nearly $4.9 million in support of local San Diego agencies who work on child abuse prevention since its inception. The organization’s goal this year is to double its funding. St. Germaine Children’s Charity will celebrate its 36th Annual Silver Tea, its signature fundraising event. Co-chaired by Bill and Dawn Davidson, the elegant afternoon will be held at a private estate in La Jolla. More than 300 guests will come together to enjoy friends, festive décor, refreshments, a silent auction, and of course, tea. Gingerbread City

December 3, 2019 | Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine

Winter Wonderland Fashion Show & Luncheon

The Arc of San Diego debuts a new philanthropic event taking place this holiday season. Presented by Leonard Simpson & Fashion Forward, Winter Wonderland features a silent auction, luncheon, and fashion show to directly benefit life-changing programs at The Arc of San Diego serving people with disabilities. Tea3 Jingle Karaoke Challenge

The Tea3 Foundation presents its inaugural Jingle Karaoke Challenge from 4:30-8:30pm. Paul Ecke, Jr. Poinsettia Ball

The Poinsettia Ball rings in its 29th year of black tie festivities in the spirit of the giving season to benefit North County Coastal youth, families, and seniors in need. The Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA and The Paul Ecke, Jr. Poinsettia Ball Committee are striving to raise $200,000 for community outreach and YMCA scholarship opportunities. This year’s event will include an honorary toast for Paul Ecke, Jr.’s birthday. Paul was a founding member of the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA, which was later named in honor of his mother, Magdalena. The gala’s namesake followed Paul’s passing in 2002 and is an annual tradition of continuing his spirit for supporting the community. This year, the event date coincides with what would have been his 94th birthday. Season of Giving Gala

The North County Food Bank will host its second annual Season of Giving Gala. Presented by the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians, the evening event will raise vital funds to support the organization’s hunger-relief programs including the Food Bank’s new Diaper to Degree program, which provides vital food, emergency diapers, and resources to families and youth living in poverty in our community. A Night in the Woods

San Diego Opera presents “A Night in the Woods,” the company’s 2020 Opera Lover’s Ball that will enchant and entertain while honoring the charitable contributions of Carol Lazier. The evening begins with a private performance by world-renowned opera star Patricia Racette in the Oxford Social Club within The Pendry Hotel. Racette has sung leading roles at the major houses of the world including the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Royal Opera House, La Scala, and Paris Opera, to name but a few.
