Through their sixth annual Spirit Run, the Horizon Prep Lions recently raised $52,234 to support Compassion International, Grace Children’s Home in Tijuana, and a medical clinic in Tonj, Sudan, providing medicine and funding for a doctor. Since 2006, the students have raised more than $321,232 for missions around the world. “These are projects near and dear to the heart of our students,”says Horizon Prep interim vice principal Holly Morey, who adds, “Our classes have been writing to their ‘Compassion International child’ all year, and several of our students and families regularly visit Grace Children’s Home in Mexico. We love having the opportunity to give back and bless others.” Horizon Prep is a Rancho Santa Fe-based Christ-centered, classically-based school that serves 450 students in preschool through 8th grades. horizonprep.org   Mason Richey
