Fab Five New In La Jolla

1  Y-3, the collaboration between renowned Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas, will open its first San Diego store in La Jolla on Girard Avenue this month. Stay tuned for details about a cocktail reception to celebrate the new addition to the neighborhood.

2  Fans of Presenting the Soap Opera rejoice — the Seacrest Village luxury soap and bath boutique has opened a new location in La Jolla on Prospect Street. Soaps, scents, lotions, body wash, body oil, skin care, gifts — you name it. From Crabtree & Evelyn to Sun Bum, this welcoming shop has you covered from head to toe.

3  On Prospect Street, Bardot offers luxury ice cream treats on a stick in two collections — the Classic and the Bardot. Flavors include “Deep Thoughts” with fresh mint and “Ebony & Ivory” with mascarpone and dulce de leche. Enjoy them on the spot, or request unique cold packaging that keeps them ready for up to eight hours.

4  Marso Home Collection, a new addtion to La Jolla’s growing design district, has been offering high-end, handcrafted furniture for more than 30 years — beds and buffets, consoles and coffee tables, upholstered sofas and chairs. They’ll also work with you to create your own custom piece. Marso is already earning rave reviews in town.

5  Tender Greens has opened its newest location at Westfield UTC. S.D. native executive chef Peter Balistreri features local produce, humanely raised meats, and sustainably-caught fish. The restaurant is 100 percent bottle-less, with six taps serving local craft beer and boutique wines, water, and house-made soda through a draft system.
