Enter to Win Free Romantic or Delicious San Diego Staycations

Published

We live in a wonderful travel destination — why not stay home and enjoy it? Two local Web sites are offering the chance to win luxurious lodging, great meals, spa treatments — even a scenic flight — in San Diego.

The winners of the “Romantic Getaway in a Beachfront Resort” will enjoy five delightful days in Coronado. If you’re lucky, you and a guest will spend two nights at the celebrated Hotel del Coronado and two nights nearby in the Speckels mansion at the historic Glorietta Bay Inn.

The prize also includes meals in four of Coronado’s best restaurants: Mistral at Loews Coronado Bay Resort, Chez Loma French bistro, Current California Coastal Cuisine at Coronado Island Marriott, and the hip farm-to-table restaurant Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge.

Winners will also enjoy rejuvenating spa treatments at Spa Coronado, local tours (walking and via Beach Buggy), and a gondola cruise – yes, gondola á la Venice.

For more details and to enter the “Romantic” contest, go to www.authenticluxurytravel.net.

The winners of the “Delicious La Jolla Foodie Getaway,” will spend at least four tasty days and three nights in San Diego’s favorite coastal neighborhood. That’s plenty of time to sample La Jolla’s farm-to-table food, California wine, and local craft beer.

The “delicious” prize includes lodging in a SeaBreeze vacation rental house, a scenic helicopter flight along the coast, dinner at THE MED in La Jolla’s ocean-view La Valencia Hotel, and invitations to a special dinner at A. R. Valentien – the signature restaurant at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. Also part of the prize: cooking lessons at Sur La Table; a Karl Strauss brewery tour, craft beer tasting and meal; and lunch at Rubio’s – home of San Diego’s favorite fish tacos.

For more details and to enter the “delicious” contest, go to www.lajollatravelinformation.com.
