The San Diego Symphony 2022 gala took place on the Symphony’s opening night of its 2022-2023 Jacobs Masterworks Season, when the orchestra performed Verdi’s Requiem, conducted by Music Director Rafael Payare and featuring the San Diego Master Chorale alongside world-renowned opera singers Leah Crocetto, Jennifer Johnson Cano, Limmie Pulliam, and Aleksey Bogdanov. Following the performance, guests enjoyed a five-course dinner curated by celebrity Chef Richard Blais and words were delivered by San Diego Symphony CEO Martha Gilmer and Mayor Todd Gloria. In total, the evening raised $600,000, which will fund future artistic programs and learning and community engagement initiatives for the San Diego Symphony.
