The Country Friends Day at the Races

Titled “Back in the Race” and chaired by Deborah Cross and Donna Ahlstrom, The Country Friends’ 49th annual Day at the Races took place in the Seabiscuit Skyroom at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, and featured a “Taste of Tuscany Buffet,” an opportunity drawing with fabulous prizes, vendor offerings, and a men’s and women’s hat contest with top honors going to Meghan Hansen. The Country Friends’ 2013 funded agencies include Friends of San Pasqual Academy, Helen Woodward Animal Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego, Kids Korps USA, Center for Community Solutions, and many more.
