San Diego Police Foundation’s K9 Soirée, themed “Moonlight Masquerade: A Night in Venice,” shined a spotlight on SDPF’s K9 Crimefighter Campaign, which funds police service dogs for America’s Finest K9 Unit. For the past 19 years, every police service dog at the San Diego Police Department has been purchased with funds donated by community members through the San Diego Police Foundation. These specialized canines safeguard public events, find missing persons, locate evidence, and de-escalate dangerous situations. Special guest was San Diego Police Chief David Nisleit; honorary chairs were Barbie and Dan Spinazzola.
