Rendezvous in the Zoo celebrates 39th anniversary

Celebrating its 39th anniversary in 2022, Rendezvous in the Zoo (RITZ) raises money to benefit new and expanded habitats at the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park, as well as San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance’s worldwide conservation programs and its mission to save species worldwide. This year’s event, themed “Elefantastic,” was chaired by Michelle Forsythe and Kristi Pieper and benefited elephants and the future construction of Denny Sanford Elephant Valley at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

At RITZ, approximately 800 guests enjoyed tasty offerings at abundant reception stations and enjoyed colossal cocktails, a trunkful of auction items, amazing wildlife ambassadors, and upscale dining under the stars at the San Diego Zoo. A gourmet dinner created by the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina followed in the dining area. Throughout the gala, revelers danced the night away to the music of Wayne Foster Entertainment.
