Luau & Legends of Surfing Invitational awards John Reed the Rell Sun Award

Since 1994, the San Diego community has helped raise more than $11 million to fight cancer. Thanks to 30 years of dedicated and generous support of the Luau & Legends of Surfing Invitational, Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health is able to deliver innovations that change the lives of individuals living with cancer by providing compassionate clinical care, inspired education, and leading-edge research. Each year, an honoree is selected to receive the Rell Sun Award, given to those who have made significant contributions in the fight against cancer. This year’s receipient was John Reed, executive vice president of pharmaceuticals, research, and development for Johnson & Johnson.
