La Jolla Community Center hosts Summer Soiree

The La Jolla Community Center is a place for social gatherings, classes about various subjects, lectures, and concerts. Coming out of COVID-19 restrictions, the center welcomed approximately 65 people back to its first in-person event, complete with music by Gizeh Guevara, food, an opportunity drawing, silent auction, and dancing. In her remarks during the event, Executive Director Nancy Walters explained that during the last 15 months, the center had hosted 300 virtual classes, and 50 special events and concerts, and delivered 100 meals. La Jolla Community Center is once again powering up its programming, and schedules vary from month to month, so sign up for the newsletter as advance registration is required.
