La Jolla Community Center Holiday Cheer

The La Jolla Community Center, in partnership with the San Diego Seniors Community Foundation, delivered meals and hosted an in-person holiday celebration at the center. Food from Valley Farm Market in La Jolla was purchased as part of this outreach effort. The in-person festivities welcomed isolated seniors in the community to enjoy live music, a silent auction, opportunity drawing, holiday shopping, and hors d’oeuvres by Girard Gourmet. The La Jolla Community Center was one of 26 local nonprofits who received funding to provide a variety of holiday activities from SDSCF as part of their No Seniors Alone Matching Holiday Challenge —the largest holiday effort on record in San Diego.
