EVA Take Flight — fashion with purpose at The Marine Room

A day of fashion with a purpose took place at The Marine Room. Hosted by Tamara Lafarga-Joseph, board president of Visions Global Empowerment, the event included a luncheon, opportunity drawing, and fashion show produced by Myles Hasnain of MJH Studios. Attendees learned about Escuela Vera Angelita, a nonprofit all-girls boarding school opening in February 2022 in the cloud forest of Matagalpa, Nicaragua. Visions Global Empowerment and Escuela Vera Angelita endeavor to break the cycles of poverty by investing in the education of girls who hail from underserved and vulnerable communities across Nicaragua.
