Boy Scouts of America SDIC pay tribute to civic leader Jerry Sanders at Champions of Scouting Celebration

The San Diego-Imperial Council, Boy Scouts of America paid tribute to civic leader Jerry Sanders at its annual Champions of Scouting Celebration aboard the USS Midway. For more than five decades, Sanders has stepped up to make San Diego a better place as the city’s chief of police, mayor, and leader of several local organizations, including the United Way and, most recently, the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. The annual SDIC Champions of Scouting event honors San Diego community leaders who recognize and support the positive impacts resulting from its youth leadership and community service programs.
