Eco-Chic Garden

The talk of La Jolla’s recent Secret Garden Tour, put on by the La Jolla Historical Society, was “The Repurposed Garden,” a courtyard featuring a dramatic series of garden vignettes artfully designed using nature as the focal point in clever room settings under a coral tree. Designers Terri Cornell of Majestic Floral, Barbara Gray and Krista Niskanen of Cottage White, and Lori Chandler and Karen Lampard of Vignettes collaborated to showcase repurposed pieces juxtaposed amongst soft, romantic florals, arrangements, and succulents. They up-cycled aging woods and tarnished metals into fabulous backdrops, and each added her own signature with blooming (real) flower pillows, planted dresser drawers, ivy wrapped furniture, and garland wrapped lamp shades.
