The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe’s Olde Fashioned Christmas

The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe captures the grandeur of the season with its 2nd Annual Olde Fashioned Christmas, to held on Friday, December 4. The community is invited to enjoy ice skating under the stars, the lighting of a stately 20-foot Christmas tree, entertainment by the R. Roger Rowe Rancho Santa Fe School Carolers, and pictures with Santa Claus. Festivities begin at 5pm and last until 9pm; the Christmas tree lighting is set for 6pm.  A soup competition featuring local Rancho Santa Fe restaurants and chefs will take place in the Croquet Cottage, and guests may serve as judges for a $5 contribution with proceeds set to benefit Cornerstone Therapeutic Riding Center. Santa will make his pre-Christmas pit stop at The Inn, with 5×7 professional photos available for $10. There will be fire pits for marshmallow roasting and toasting, as well as chocolate and hot mulled wine. To complete the winter wonderland, the synthetic ice skating rink will return again this year, and The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe will donate 40 percent of the proceeds from the ice skating rink to Father Joe’s Villages. The rink will also be open December 18 through January 4, and January 9-11. (858.756.1131, www.theinnatrsf.com)
