San Diego Crew Classic & Brunch by the Bay

The San Diego Crew Classic returns to the waters of Mission Bay for its 45th annual meeting March 24 and 25. Originally created as a collegiate event, the regatta now features more than 4,000 athletes and includes high school junior programs, masters’ clubs, and Olympic-level competition in addition to its college races featuring some of the country’s most prestigious clubs. Gates open at 6am Saturday and Sunday to welcome an expected crowd of 20,000 spectators over the course of the 100+ race weekend. On Sunday, March 25, the regatta presents its 25th annual Classic Brunch by the Bay, an elegant nautical-themed Champagne brunch catered by renowned chef Giuseppe Ciuffa at Crown Point Shores at the finish line of the rowing regatta. More than 400 collegiate and club boats from East to West Coast and Canada to Mexico will compete to be in the trophy races on Sunday to stand at the Champions Pavilion Tent near the Finish Line Lounge.
