Local Pilots Take to the Skies to Honor our San Diego Medical Professionals

More than 25 aircraft are taking to the skies this Friday to perform flybys of many local hospitals to honor our medical professionals across San Diego County.

More than 25 aircraft are taking to the skies this Friday to perform flybys of many local hospitals to honor our medical professionals across San Diego County. Pilots from the San Diego Salute – Formation Flying Team, Plus One Flyers, Allen Airways Museum, Commemorative Air Force Air Group One, San Diego Sky Tours, San Diego Antique Aircraft Association, and more will be flying aircraft including a 1940s-era American pre-World War II Stearman trainer, a Piper Cub, 1941 L-3 Aeronca World War II observer plane, Bonanzas, Cirruses, Cessnas, Mooneys, Great Lakes Biplanes, and a Pitts S-1S. A mass formation finale by the Southern California Performance Formation Team will feature U.S. former military aircraft and aerobatic aircraft including a T-34A/B, Turbine Legend, Marchetti S.211 jet-powered military trainer aircraft, SIAI-Marchetti SF.260, RV-4/6/10, and Harmon Rocket. Money Aerial Media and Aerial Advertising are also generously flying a banner tow with a special message for our healthcare workers.

10:05-10:15am — Pomerado Hospital
10:10-10:25am — Scripps Green Hospital
10:10-10:25am — VA La Jolla
10:15-10:20am — Palomar Hospital
10:15-10:30am — Sharp Memorial Hospital/ Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego
10:20-10:35am — SD County Psychiatric
10:20-10:35am — Downtown San Diego
10:25-10:40am — Scripps Chula Vista Hospital
10:30-10:40am — Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center
10:30-10:45am — Sharp Grossmont Hospital
