March for Meals

Meals on Wheels San Diego County is participating in the 17th annual national March for Meals, a month-long celebration of Meal on Wheels and the vulnerable seniors who rely on the vital service to remain independent at home. Throughout the entire month, San Diego restaurants will participate in “MOW”jito Madness & More. Local eateries and bars including Cosmopolitan, Coasterra, The Prado, and many more will have delicious specialty cocktails featured at their restaurant of which $1 from each beverage served will benefit Meals on Wheels San Diego County. Then, from March 18-22, the organization presents Champions for Meals Week, when mayors, elected officials, and local celebrities will deliver meals throughout San Diego County to seniors. Last up, on March 23, March for Meals 5K Charity Walk presented by Barona Band of Mission Indians takes place at Liberty Station NTC Park to help raise funds to end senior hunger and isolation. meals-on-wheels.org
