Surfin’ Santa

On Saturday, November 30, from 1-5pm, Santa Claus comes to town in sandals and board shorts for his annual holiday appearance where youngsters can get their photo taken with him (or to put it in kid lingo: go photobomb Santa’s selfies) on a giant surfboard and wave at downtown’s Seaport Village. The event also features a festive parade down the boardwalk, kids’ crafting activities, live street performers, and activities at some of the shops. Simultaneously, parents can get a jump on holiday shopping and support Small Business Saturday, which celebrates the Shop Small movement to drive shoppers to local merchants across the U.S.  (www.seaportvillage.com)   ALICIA GARCIA
