Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade

Get furry and festive with the return of the fourth annual Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade presented by Downtown Ace Hardware. Pet owners and their companions are invited to put their best paw forward on Sunday, December 11, for a jolly promenade through the Gaslamp Quarter.

Since its debut in 2008, the event has attracted entries including a Clydesdale horse, bearded dragon, fire-bellied newts, rabbits, and cats and dogs of every breed — all competing for Best Pet Costume, Best Costumed Duo, Cutest Critter, and Best in Show. The Pet Parade launches at 3pm at the Gaslamp Hilton Park, and continues under the iconic archway and through the historic streets of the district before returning to the park, where participants may pick up complimentary goodie bags filled with unique keepsakes, product samples, toys, and special discounts to some of the area’s pet-friendly restaurants and shops. Following the Pet Parade is the awards presentation and a frisky Pet Talent Show, featuring extraordinary tricks and skills.

Entry to participate in the Pet Parade is $10 per pet-and-pet-handler duo. Or, visit Downtown Ace Hardware and show your Ace Rewards Card to receive a $5 off voucher.
