Foodie Fest Encinitas

Taking place at the Lumberyard in Encinitas from 11am-4pm, the Foodie Fest is a ticketed, family-friendly event that brings the community together to elevate public awareness about growing sustainable foods and products while promoting the arts and local businesses. Three stages will feature farm-to-table demonstrations and a fourth will host a TV-style chef competition. Over 30 vendors will participate in the gourmet food tasting, and Sakurabana will host desserts and a silent auction benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. There will be live performances throughout the day by Jimmy & Enrique, Perfect Strangers Music, Ben Powell, West County, and XANDRA. And 14 local artists have banded together to contribute over $12,000 of work to an “Art for the Cure” exhibit being auctioned off on the festival Web site and on display at the nearby E101 Gallery from May 20-July 1. foodiefestencinitas.com
