Go Red For Women

Published

As we focus on matters of the heart in February, consider the fact that, according to the American Heart Association (AHA), more women die of heart disease than all forms of cancer combined. The organization is encouraging San Diegans to participate in its 9th Annual National Wear Red Day on Friday, February 3, to make ending heart disease a reality. That evening, join the AHA and the team from the UC San Diego Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center from 5-7pm for a reception and building lighting. San Diego’s Go Red For Women campaign culminates March 16 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront for the 2012 Go Red For Women Luncheon. (www.sdgoredluncheon.org)   MIA STEFANKO
