Live Longer, Healthier & Happier
It’s a lofty goal, but why not try to live to 100? There are myriad ways to get there — many of which can easily be incorporated into daily life.
• For starters, stay active and keep your weight in check — it keeps your organs healthy, and therefore leads to less need for medication. Most health problems in the U.S. can be correlated to lifestyle.
• Next, accumulate peace daily. Take brief breaks to stretch, meditate, pray, breathe, offer gratitude, or to do whatever it takes to find balance.
• Cook your own food — you’ll have control over the ingredients, and can ensure that there are no chemicals or preservatives, and no extra quantities of sugar or salt. While you’re at it, use fresh vegetables and fruits from your own garden — the more recently the produce was picked, the more nutrients it has, which translates to more antioxidants and vitamins to keep your body and brain young.
• Think positive. You have the ability to heal, energize, and fully enjoy your life. MIA STEFANKO
