This year’s Rendezvous In The Zoo, themed Party Animals, benefited Penguin Beach, a new seashore home for African penguins in the Conrad Prebys Africa Rocks zoo complex. The family of Carol Vassiliadis provided a two-for-one monetary match up to a million dollars. Guests enjoyed lavish pre-dinner hors d’oeuvres and kept company with Joan Embery and her animal friends. Vicki and Chris Eddy were chairs and Ernest Rady was honorary chair.
