Philanthropists, community leaders, and working and retired professionals gathered at Coastal Roots Farm to enjoy food, drinks, music, inspirational programming, and the opportunity to browse through a makers’ fair with Women’s Empowerment-supported local women entrepreneurs. Event proceeds benefited WE grants distributed to vetted, high-impact nonprofits around the word. Since its founding in 2003, San Diego-based Women’s Empowerment International has provided more than $2.1 million in funding to current partners in the U.S., Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, and Uganda.
