Walden Family Services celebrated its 45th anniversary with an intimate farm-to-table event catered by legendary restaurateur Jeffrey Strauss of Pamplemousse Grille. Guests enjoyed an alfresco dining experience under the stars at the historic estate of renowned landscape architect Kate Sessions — all to benefit children and youth in foster care. Event co-chairs were Jackie Helm and Kimberly Lee; this year’s Fostering Hearts honorees were Ed and Sue Earl. Founded in 1976, Walden Family Services is a nationally-recognized foster care, adoption, and youth services agency that shares Henry David Thoreau’s vision for personal growth, our individual rights and responsibilities as members of a community, and a life that celebrates the richness of natural diversity.
