The San Diego Police Foundation hosted its 15th annual Women in Blue: Heart of Service Luncheon, bringing together business and community leaders to honor SDPD Captain Jo Makwana, Assistant Crime Laboratory Director Stacey Houg, and Officer Serafina Marquez. Guests connected with officers during a lively reception, while young attendees participated in a special mentoring experience. Inside the ballroom, Chief of Police Scott Wahl delivered a heartfelt keynote celebrating the honorees’ leadership and service. The inspiring afternoon concluded with a standing ovation — and record-breaking support, raising more than $266,000 to advance the foundation’s mission.
