Fall fashion from top international designers and luxury retailers took to the runway at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe when The Country Friends presented the annual Art of Fashion in partnership with South Coast Plaza. The all-outdoor event included a champagne reception, luncheon on The Inn’s lawn, boutique shopping, an opportunity drawing, and a lively luxury auction featuring a $15,790 nine-day adventure through Peru donated by Scott Dunn, Belmond Hotels & Aqua Expeditions; a pair of gold, diamond, and iolite flower earrings donated by John Matty Co.; two first-class tickets to anywhere Alaska Airlines flies coupled with a $2,000 voucher from Suzanne Newman; and a dine/shop experience at South Coast Plaza and Knife Pleat restaurant.
This year’s honorary chairs were Deborah and Les Cross, recognized for their long commitment to The Country Friends. Deborah also co-chaired the event with TCF President Suzanne M. Newman and Director of Operations Yvette Letourneau. Award-winning ABC 10News Anchor Kimberly Hunt served as emcee. Event proceeds benefited The Country Friends’ chosen charities, with emphasis on those serving women, children, the elderly, the military, and the disabled.
