Symphony at Salk 2014
The Salk Institute’s 19th Annual Symphony at Salk featured the San Diego Symphony along with Emmy, Tony, and Golden Globe-nominated star Matthew Morrison. The evening also featured a surprise performance by William R. Brody, president of Salk, who performed piano portions of Gerswhin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with the symphony. Proceeds supported the institute’s wide-ranging scientific inquiry that has yielded a steady flow of life-changing discoveries, as well as its educational outreach programs that have helped generations of students explore careers in science.
