San Diego’s philanthropic, business, and art communities joined forces in support of the arts at a celebratory benefit for The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. The Gala took inspiration from MCASD’s exhibition Kelly Akashi: Formations, which represents the artist’s exploration of the fleeting moment, encouraging people to slow down, reflect on the present, and take joy in it. Following an immersive dinner experience, guests were invited to join The After Party that featured indulgent late-night snacks and curated cocktails, musical performances and interactive art, and a vibrant dance floor.

The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego invites all audiences to experience our world, our region, and ourselves through the prism of contemporary art. MCASD seeks to harness the potency of contemporary art to inspire expansive thinking and an inclusive world. Kimberly and Ryan Herrell chaired this year’s benefit. Kimberly is the owner of Schubach Aviation and Ryan is the Executive Vice President of Development at Zephyr and a MCASD trustee.
