The Patrons of the Prado hosted a successful Directors Reception and Grant Distribution Event at Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park. The net proceeds of $330,300 from the 2023 Masterpiece Gala “Out of This World” were divided equally among the Patrons’ nine beneficiaries: Fleet Science Center, Mingei International Museum, Museum of Us, The Old Globe, San Diego History Center, San Diego Junior Theatre, The San Diego Museum of Art, San Diego Natural History Museum, and Timken Museum of Art. Since its founding in 1998, Patrons of the Prado has awarded its beneficiaries more than $5.7 million in grants.
