San Diego Symphony’s season-opening gala, “Passport to the World,” featured works by An-Lun Huang, Tchaikovsky, and Rimsky-Korsakov. Guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, the concert, and a post-concert party. Gala chairs were June and Bob Shillman; honorary chairs were Katherine and Mayor Kevin Faulconer, Joan and Irwin Jacobs, and Cathy and Lawrence Robinson. Proceeds supported the San Diego Symphony orchestra’s artistic, education, and community engagement programs.
