The Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA celebrated the golden anniversary of its Roof Raisers Golf Tournament with food and drinks, live and silent auctions, giveaways, awards for the winning foursome and best 1970s golf attire, and more. Roof Raisers was founded in 1971 by Rollie Ayers, Paul Ecke Jr., Ed Harloff, Don Hubbard Sr., and Irv Roston to raise funds to complete the then-new YMCA. Over the past 49 years, more than $4.5 million has been raised, and many new roofs have been built over the Y.
