Las Patronas presents its 77th annual Jewel Ball

Las Patronas presented its 77th annual Jewel Ball, titled Daisies & Disco, which whisked guests back to the era of peace, love, and funk. As the sun set, supporters boogied the night away to nostalgic disco tunes. Jewel Ball chair Mio Hood was joined by co-chairs Jill Peters and Jessica Castagnola, and tables chairs Michelle La Greca and Stephanie Stone. “We are proud to continue our tradition of giving and thank our sponsors, advertisers, donors, and vendors for their unwavering support,” said Las Patronas President Julie Bubnack. As a result of Jewel Ball, eight major beneficiaries will each receive a grant of more than $20,000 to fund a critically needed capital item.

Las Patronas’ Jewel Ball 2023 major beneficiaries include Barrio Logan College Institute, Emilio Nares Foundation, Just in Time for Foster Youth, La Jolla Playhouse, Nativity Prep Academy, Rise Up Industries, Serving Seniors, and Urban Corps of San Diego County.
