Free to Thrive presented “Get Your Groove Back and Give Back,” an evening of food, drinks, and dancing at the Del Mar Country Club home of Masood and Laurie Jabbar. The limited event welcomed 125 guests and featured live music from Atomic Groove and a presentation by special guest speaker, District Attorney Summer Stephan. Major sponsors included the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation, Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas, and Skin Authority. The event grossed $17,000, which will support Free to Thrive’s work to empower survivors of human trafficking by providing holistic and trauma-informed legal and support services and increasing access to justice for all survivors.
