Padres Pedal the Cause, the signature event of San Diego-based nonprofit Curebound, included multiple options to participate, either on a bike or on foot, including the rare opportunity to ride across the Coronado Bridge on all bike routes, with a 5K and spin classes also offered. Dedicated to generating funding for research in pursuit of the prevention, treatment, and ultimately, a cure for cancer, every dollar raised goes directly toward critical work at six local institutional research partners:  Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health, Salk Institute, Sanford-Burnham Prebys, Rady Children’s Hospital, La Jolla Institute for Immunology, and Scripps Research.  Since its inception in 2013, Padres Pedal the Cause has raised over $24 million for cancer research.
