Pink With A Purpose
To support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a number of renowned retailers are offering a wide range of stylish pink items, and a portion of proceeds from each supports various breast cancer research causes. Here are a few. MIA STEFANKO
Available at Nordstrom, a portion of proceeds from the women’s classic Hanae Mori Butterfly fragrance will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund; pink satin scarves and gift boxes will be offered to customers free with a purchase of $75 or more.
During the month of October, 15 percent of the proceeds from sales of the limited edition Tory Burch pink puffer vest, available at Tory Burch in Fashion Valley, will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
New Balance’s Lace Up for the Cure Fall Collection is available at New Balance in South Coast Plaza and Cardiff. Every year New Balance donates 15 percent of its wholesale purchases to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
KitchenAid has partnered with Villeroy & Boch to introduce a new ceramic serving plate, meant to be passed to friends and family along with a culinary specialty prepared by the giver. Once the individually numbered plate is passed, the recipient is then asked to do the same. Each time the plate is passed and registered, KitchenAid will donate $5 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The plates are available at Villeroy & Boch in South Coast Plaza.
Polo Ralph Lauren’s Pink Pony collection, available at www.ralphauren.com, donates a portion of proceeds to the Pink Pony Fund, which supports programs for cancer screening, early diagnosis, treatment, and research.
Master Lock’s new pink security products are available at www.amazon.com; in addition to raising awareness, Master Lock is supporting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation with a $15,000 donation.
