Opening this month in Del Mar Height’s One Paseo shopping center is Faherty, a family-owned luxe lifestyle brand with a comfortable coastal vibe. Twin brothers Alex and Mike Faherty founded the company five years ago, launching a line of eco-minded swimwear. Avid surfers, the brothers were frustrated that they couldn’t find quality clothing that reflected their laid-back lifestyles, so they decided to make their own, focusing on form, fit, and function. Since opening their first shop in SoHo, the brothers have expanded to nine stores around the country from Nantucket to Newport Beach. Faherty features soft, sun-faded, vintage-inspired fabrics that are mostly sustainable, including organic cotton, indigo dyes, and a signature swimwear line made from recycled plastic bottles. The store, designed with the help of Ninie Norris, the brothers’ mother, will have the feel of a family beach house, with a thatched entrance, cypress paneling, vintage surfboards, antiques, and art collected from around the world. 877.745.8994, fahertybrand.com   Andrea Naversen
