The visual art scene in Rancho Santa Fe continues to buzz
The visual art scene in Rancho Santa Fe continues to buzz. A new art advisory is the follow-up to Oolong Gallery

And just like that, Rancho Santa Fe has an art scene.
The corner space on Paseo Delicias and La Granada is illuminated with punchy, contemporary art. RCG Art Advisory is the latest arrival in the village. Helmed by Ryan Campbell Garrett, the eponymous space has been hosting artist talks and pop-up exhibits with the goal to create legacy art collections.
“With over 25 years experience developing private collections, RCG Art Advisory offers access to an exclusive network of international works in both the primary and secondary markets,” says Garrett.

Oolong Gallery, which opened in March on La Flecha, boldly paved the way. Gallerist Eric Laine has lured art world heavyweights, museum curators and collectors to his indoor-outdoor gallery space with be-seen events and juicy artist talks. Most importantly, he’s created community momentum around his artists, hosting roving events in Rancho Santa Fe as well as the Brown Studio in Leucadia and Southwestern College Art Gallery.
From her corner spot, RCG Art Advisory aims to present a distinguished array of high-caliber artworks directly to the community without the need for trips to major cities like New York, Los Angeles, or London, says Garrett.

The first pop-up exhibition showcased a vibrant and saturated watercolor abstraction by Sam Gilliam alongside a witty litho titled “That Was Then This Is Now” by Ed Ruscha — after which the exhibition is named.
The exhibition also featured a selection of soft and cheerful pastorals, interiors, and portraits by Claire Milbrath; abstractions of Kim DeJesus, limited-edition prints by Lily Stockman, who draws inspiration from her experiences with California light and nature.
