Saving The San Dieguito River Park
A recent San Diego City Council vote to support Mayor Jerry Sanders’ budget cuts could result in the potential loss of one of San Diego’s most cherished achievements; a loss of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding; no more educational programming or guided hikes; and no restored habitat for wildlife, in addition to risking the long-term water quality and health of the San Dieguito River Valley and watershed for current and future generations. Please contact the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy for further information and to get involved. (858/755-6956, www.sdrvc.org) JANE SHIOMI
