Safeguarding the Future of Our Ocean
As part of its Summer Evening Lecture Series, on Monday, July 8, Birch Aquarium at Scripps presents “Shark Conservation: Safeguarding the Future of Our Ocean,” with Andy Nosal, Birch Aquarium’s DeLaCour Postdoctoral Fellow in Ecology & Conservation. According to Birch Aquarium, protecting sharks from population decline has never been more important. Nosal, a recent Scripps Oceanography graduate and shark researcher, will discuss threats such as overfishing, finning, and negative public perception facing these essential marine predators.
