Symphony at Salk

The Salk Institute’s 30th annual Symphony at Salk returns for a milestone evening of music and philanthropy.

The celebration begins with a champagne reception at 5:30pm, followed by a gourmet dinner and a concert under the stars featuring the San Diego Symphony and special guest artists The Bacon Brothers, led by Emmy-winning composer Michael Bacon and acclaimed Hollywood actor Kevin Bacon. Set against the backdrop of Louis Kahn’s architectural masterpiece at sunset, the event supports Salk’s mission to advance groundbreaking scientific research, with a spotlight on brain health in 2026. Table sponsors at the Galaxy level and above are invited to an exclusive Benefactors’ Dinner the evening before Symphony at Salk hosted by Salk Board Chair Emeritus Dr. Irwin Jacobs, co-founder of Qualcomm, featuring an intimate performance by The Bacon Brothers.
