Legends of Science & Legends of Surfing Invitational

Hosted by UC San Diego and UC San Diego Health, this two-day event celebrates the intersection of science, innovation, and San Diego’s surf culture while benefiting Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health.

Friday’s Legends of Science Oncology Symposium features keynote speaker Kevan M. Shokat, PhD, and leading experts discussing advances in precision oncology, artificial intelligence, drug discovery, and next-generation clinical trials. On Saturday, the 33rd Annual Legends of Surfing Invitational brings together world-class surfers, scientists, cancer survivors, and community supporters for a day of friendly competition and philanthropy, culminating in a luncheon honoring surfing icon Gerry Lopez with the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by actor Gregory Harrison.
