Intersecciones: Popular Art Design in Mexico “Esto Somos” Documentary

Intersecciones at Park & Market presents a free presentation of 11 documentaries about the world of Popular Art Design in Mexico. 

Artesanos de México: Popular Art Routes is a 52-minute documentary hosted by renowned anthropologist Marta Turok. The documentary seeks to portray the work and technique of Mexican artisans, taking viewers on a journey to learn about the expressions of popular art in which the objects are the main characters of Mexican history and culture. The screening will be followed by ten three-minute documentaries portraying individual artists at their work.  After the presentation of the documentaries, a small presentation talk will follow with two of the artists portrayed in the videos.
