Harvest for Hope
The Emilio Nares Foundation, a nonprofit helping families navigate their child’s journey through battling cancer, hosts its 18th annual Harvest for Hope food and wine tasting fundraiser.
The outdoor event will feature some of San Diego’s most renowned chefs, creating unique dishes paired with wine. One-hundred percent of proceeds go toward ENF’s free programs for low-income and underserved families with children battling cancer, helping them to meet basic needs, particularly transportation. This year’s $300,000 goal will primarily support ENF’s flagship program, Ride with Emilio, which expanded to Los Angeles to service children receiving treatment at Children’s Hospital LA.
The program hit 1 million miles traveled in 2020, safely transporting 4,000 children in Southern California to chemo treatments and doctor’s appointments and returning them home safely.
