Friends of Balboa Park Awards Celebration

Friends of Balboa Park is hosting its annual Awards Celebration virtually to honor outstanding contributions by organizations, employees, and volunteers in Balboa Park.

Those being recognized include the Japanese Friendship Garden, park ranger Kim Duclo, “Betty Peabody Emerging Young Leader of Balboa Park” Kristen Mihalko, and more. Sponsors receive exclusive platters and wine delivered to their home from Bekker’s Catering.

In addition, those who join, renew, or upgrade a Friends of Balboa Park membership to the $100 level before October 13 will be entered to win lunch for two at the Prado Restaurant, a one-day Explorer Pass for two, and four Balboa Park Carousel tickets. The winner will be selected live during the annual Balboa Park Awards Celebration event, which takes place from 5:30-6:30pm. Event chairs are Kristi Pieper and Julie Cowan Novak
